The River Junction Poets are interested in increasing appreciation of poetry. Among our activities is the ongoing series of Poets Birthday Readings, which we planned around the birthdays of poets and hosted at the Barnes & Noble bookstore at 3311 Tittabawassee Road in Saginaw, Michigan. We started this activity on the night of June 3, 2005, when we met and read poems by Allen Ginsberg in celebration of his birth. We stopped our birthday readings in 2008, when our attention was needed elsewhere. Many thanks to those who participated and to the management at Barnes and Noble.
